My interest goes out to certain groups of people, which are socially recognisable/profiled.
I choose my images from the most common media, for example pictures from newspapers. I zoom extremly in to the essence of the image.
By painting I show, sometimes slightly cynical, sometimes concisely detached this group of people playing their part. I focus on their attitude, clothing and give subtle my opinion.
I isolate them from their environment using extreme framing.
I zoom in to them: the individual as a part of the group.
The final result: the named portrait as an ultimate imagination of the group.
